Kilts
The ECS Kilt is machine washable, so you could easily get away with purchasing just one.
Blazers
On full-dress days, your daughter will be required to wear a school blazer. It can remain at school in her locker for when she needs it.
Shirts
On full-dress days, your daughter will need to be wearing either a long-sleeved or short-sleeved white button-up dress shirt with her tie. On regular school days, she can wear either a long-sleeved or short-sleeved white polo shirt without a tie. Grade elevens are an exception: they (and only they) have the option of wearing blue shirts instead of white. These blue shirts are available as long-sleeved dress shirts, short-sleeved dress shirts, and short-sleeved polo shirts.
Ties
Each girl has been assigned to a house, and each house has its own colour: Edgar (green), Cramp (red), or Adami (blue). If you're not sure which house your daughter belongs to, please contact the admissions department and they'll let you know. The middle school tie is bright blue with a stripe in their house colour. Senior ties are green with the same house stripe. House Officials and Prefects have their own unique ties.
Socks and Tights
On warmer days, your daughter can wear dark green knee-high socks with her tunic. When the weather gets cooler, she can choose between dark green, navy blue or black tights.
Boxer Shorts
Untoward breezes and exposed subway ventilation grates have been known to lift hemlines, so it is very important that your daughter wears either a pair of dark-coloured boxer shorts or bicycle shorts under her kilt at all times.
Sweaters
When it gets a bit chilly out, it is nice to have a cozy cardigan to snuggle up in. Ours are dark green with the ECS crest. We also have the option of an elegant black v-neck pullover or a dark green ECS sweatshirt.
School Shoes
We do not sell shoes at the Uniform Shop. Your daughter must wear simple, conservative black dress shoes with no more than a 1" heel. There is a list of recommended shoes on the ECS Uniform Regulations page.
Physical Education
For phys ed class, our girls must wear a white ECS branded gym t-shirt, and either the regulation gym shorts or gym sweatpants [the forest green or the grey house (Edgar, Cramp or Adami) sweatpants]. They can also wear a green or black ECS sweatshirt. On their feet, they must wear either plain white or branded ECS athletic socks and a pair of running shoes. If your daughter is on a sports team, there will probably also be a specific team uniform made available to her.
