Tunics
The ECS tunic is machine washable, so you could get away with purchasing just one, but as little kids tend to get messy, two is recommended if you don't like doing laundry at night.
Shirts
On full-dress days, your daughter will need to be wearing either a long-sleeved or short-sleeved white button-up dress shirt with her tie. On regular school days, she can wear either a long-sleeved or short-sleeved white polo shirt without a tie.
Ties
Each girl has been assigned to a house, and each house has its own colour: Edgar (green), Cramp (red), or Adami (blue). If you're not sure which house your daughter belongs to, please contact the admissions department and they'll let you know. The junior ties come in two different styles: a regular tie that must be tied (make sure to take some time to teach her how to tie it up!), or a clip-on version for our littlest girls. Ties have a habit of wandering off, so we recommend getting two.
Socks and Tights
On warmer days, your daughter can wear dark green knee-high socks with her tunic. When the weather gets cooler, she can choose between dark green, navy blue or black tights.
Boxer Shorts
As our girls like to tumble about and climb on things, it is important that she wears either a pair of dark-coloured boxer shorts or bicycle shorts under her tunic.
Sweaters
When it gets a bit chilly out, it is nice to have a cozy cardigan to snuggle up in. Ours are dark green with the ECS crest. We also have the option of an elegant black v-neck pullover or a dark green ECS sweatshirt.
School Shoes
We do not sell shoes at the Uniform Shop. Your daughter must wear simple, conservative black dress shoes with no more than a 1" heel. There is a list of recommended shoes on the ECS Uniform Regulations page.
Physical Education
For phys ed class (and for regular school days for the kindergarteners), our girls must wear a white ECS branded gym t-shirt, and either the regulation gym shorts or gym sweatpants [the forest green or the grey house (Edgar, Cramp or Adami) sweatpants]. They can also wear a green or black ECS sweatshirt. On their feet, they must wear either plain white or branded ECS athletic socks and a pair of running shoes.
